North Texas successfully presents Bangladesh as the next promising
outsourcing place to the US industries via US-Bangladesh
Entrepreneurship Seminar and Banquet in Dallas, Texas

07/30/2007 Dallas,
TX – American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers and Architects
North Texas Chapter (AABEA NT) hosted “US-Bangladesh
Entrepreneurship Seminar and Banquet”, a very informative,
educational and exciting event at Hilton Garden Inn Dallas hotel
ballroom on July 21st, 2007, Saturday.
The theme of this event successfully revealed Bangladesh as
the next promising outsourcing place for US industries. Seminar
talks pointed out that like India, China, Philippines, and others,
Bangladesh now has favorable environment satisfying most of the
necessary criteria for BPO business. Seminar speakers Mohammed Al-Amin,
Gneral Manager of Versacom, Dr Muzib Khan, VP of Samsung, and John
Bugh, President of Intelenet Global, all have emphasized in their
respective event talks on how Bangladesh is increasingly positioning
herself for outsourcing business opportunities in global market.
The main goal of
this US-Bangladesh Entrepreneurship Seminar and Banquet event was to
build a strong collaborative network among NRB entrepreneurs and
professionals in the US through which Bangladesh can win outsourced
development projects from US industries in the future. There were
over 200 non-resident Bangladeshi professionals; Asian Americans and
few US industry executives have attended this successful event.
Besides seminar
talk, AABEA NT also hosted an exhibit session in parallel. Several
NRB raised technology companies in North Texas (event sponsors) have
demonstrated their products and services expertise at this colorful
exhibit. After dinner, event sponsors Rahman Financial, Adeptmax,
Gtalk, and Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce have also shared their
business success stories with the audience. There was noticeable
business networking as well as job networking at the event. An NRB
raised small business has won an IT development project from a US
mortgage company right at the event.
Even though there
was a plan on having a musical show after dinner, due to a mournful
situation with AABEA CEC president Mr Mashiur Rahman’s demise,
event organizers had cancelled all entertainment portions from the
event agenda. AABEA NT executive team have dedicated the entire
event in memory of Mr Mashiur Rahman, with a prayer and one minute
of silence at the event premise. Participants have demonstrated
happiness with the program setup. As AABEA NT executive team has
received an overwhelming positive feedback on the program, they plan
to host more such events to promote business side of Bangladesh in
front of the US executives in the future.
